What is the Parka Program?
This is an incentive program for
swimmers 11 years old and above. The swimmers earn a team parka from the club
when they swim for four seasons and at least three dual meets per season. They need
not be consecutive as some swimmers swim only winter or summer. Letters are
placed in the family mail file of swimmers competing in the 11-12 age group and
above at the beginning of the season to let them know they are eligible. A
swimmer chooses to either forfeit their season end award or pay for the award
(approximately $10.00) during those four seasons. The parkas are ordered at the
end of their fourth qualifying season and generally distributed at the first
home meet of the swimmer's fifth season.
What does the Parka look like?
The parkas will be full length, black,
with 19oz. of orange fleece. PAC SWIMMING will be across the back in 4" letters. The swimmer's name
will be on the front.
