My interest in swimming began at the age of 5 and I pretty much swam continuously until I graduated from college. Most of my swimming years were spent sprinting freestyle and butterfly.  While in high school, in addition to swimming, I also participated in field hockey and tennis. Once I enrolled in college, I chose only to swim. I graduated from college with my Masters Degree in Social Work and Criminal Justice. I went on to complete my law degree in 2003.

 

I am married to Stephen Lyons, who just happens to be the
team treasurer. We live in Palmyra with our 2 children, Peyten Lynn and Stephen Edward II. We joined the Palmyra Aquatic Club in 2002 when Peyten started swimming and have been associated with the club ever since. I became an assistant coach with the club in the Spring of 2006 and became co-head coach in the fall of 2008.
